High school and college students in Colorado are using Minecraft to help people all over the world to see the Bent's Old Fort, there's no need to leave your home to visit it, when the project is complete you will be able to see it, in two years the project should be done.

This is an assignment from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Collaborative Computing. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc

Students in La Junta build virtual fortress

High school and College students are using minecraft, the goal is to build a 3D online version for anyone to visit and see the old Santa Fe Trail trading post for themselves. Anywhere you are you will be able to see it and i think the idea that you can take a look at it in virtual world is amazing and you will definitely enjoy doing it. When the students complete the project, the students will advance to architectural program Autocad, and Autocad 3D. They are expecting the project to be done in two years and hopefully everyone around the world could take a look at it.

This is an assignment from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Collaborative Computing. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc

Assignment 2-1: What is Immersive Education?

In the first photo we see Prof. Walsh is telling us why he dedicated almost 20 years of his life to immersive, he believed that we could change people's life and change the way they learn by using advance technologies, he tells us how the immersive education started a decade later and lead us to next slide.

The second photo we see Prof. Walsh tells us in 2005 a non-profit international collaboration of universities and colleges worked together to advanced these technologies and application of these technologies all in education and he tells us in a simple line its using immersive  technologies for education.
In the next slide Prof. Walsh is telling us the goal of this policy it to ensure that IED standards and related materials produces by the initiative such as technical and materials etc.. and he tells us anybody could use it and you couldn't stop anybody from using it, anything they created and produced was produce under this royalty-free intellectual property policy.
In this last slide Prof. Walsh answered the most question people usually ask: the question is what is immersive education? As you can see in this slide its a virtual worlds, learning games, simulations, and full, augmented and mixed (FAM) reality.
